About the Event
In today’s age, artificial intelligence (AI) has become increasingly embedded in Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) systems and as such practitioners are faced with a critical need to move beyond conceptual discussions and understand its practical relevance and application. This session focuses on how AI is being used in real-world evaluation contexts, where it delivers meaningful value, and more importantly, how practitioners can adapt themselves.
The panel will explore practical applications of AI across the evaluation cycle, highlighting specific cases where AI has improved efficiency and supported outputs. Drawing on experiences from practitioners actively using these tools, the discussion will present case-based insights on what works, how it works, and under what conditions AI adds value.
A key focus of the session will be on how practitioners can adapt to this evolving landscape. This includes identifying the skills, tools, and institutional capacities required to effectively and responsibly integrate AI into evaluation practice, particularly in resource-constrained and diverse contexts.
By bringing together practitioners, policymakers, and technology experts, this session aims to provide grounded, actionable steps to help the evaluation community navigate and adopt AI in ways that are practical, context-sensitive, and impactful.
