À propos de l'événement
Professionalisation of evaluation has long been debated - with valid concern that professionalisation could be seen as exclusionary in a field where many practitioners developed their competence through experience. And yet, there has been steady call for recognition of evaluation as a professional field that holds societal value and contribution. SAMEA and the IEAc, are each currently tackling the debate. This session will be a conversation to unpack current conceptual frameworks for professionalization that include evaluator competencies, ethical codes and accountability processes, and quality assurance mechanisms. Audience members are welcome to input on pathways for professionalization.
