Résumé
Following a presentation on the theory and practice of adaptive MEL, discussion focused on how it is used to support programs focusing on locally led development and dealing with complex contexts. It provides a framework for programs to adapt to shifting stakeholder priorities and implementing contexts while focusing on the long-term objective of the program. It provides the necessary tools to support participatory processes and local decision making using local evidence while maintaining the necessary rigour in results required for accountability. Adaptive MEL is a tool for development programs to use to find the balance between the expectations of different stakeholder groups (partner and donor) and remain relevant to changing contexts.
A story will be developed for DT Global's monthly newsletter and for use by the communications team.
