National evaluation systems need reliable information to identify strengths and opportunity of improving public policies. The National Evaluation Capacities Index (INCE) is a diagnostic tool that provides reliable data on the progress of national evaluation systems.

Following a pilot phase involving 15 participants from 8 countries, FLACSO Costa Rica and the German Institute for Development Evaluation (DEval) have successfully launched a regional online course in evaluation management for Spanish-speaking Latin America.

Together with GEI and the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), ENAP organized the seventh session of the TAQYEEM program, the first international level evaluation program to be delivered entirely in the Arabic language.

One of two winners of the GEI Launchpad, Le Barometre hosted two evaluation bootcamps in Niger and Benin.

Thirty representatives from several Republic of Djibouti ministries, public sector entities and civil society organizations participated in the Programme International de Formation en Évaluation du Développement (PIFED), an evaluation training program designed and delivered by ENAP.

12 peer-reviewed articles commissioned by CLEAR Anglophone Africa were published by the African Evaluation Journal as a “Made in Africa Evaluation” (MAE) Special Edition.

At the end of November, the Global Evaluation Initiative (GEI) Secretariat’s management team met with the GEI Network Partnership Council to update them on program progress and achievements since the last meeting in May 2022. 

Earlier this year, BetterEvaluation became the knowledge platform of the Global Evaluation Initiative (GEI).

Conducted October 11-November 4, this course is a part of CLEAR SA’s long-term partnership with India's Development Monitoring and Evaluation Office (DMEO), to support country-led and country-owned efforts to improve monitoring, evaluation, and evidence use.

In early October, a technical team from the GEI Network visited Kingston, Jamaica, to start work on a series of workshops for representatives of 19 ministries of the Government of Jamaica (GoJ) and the M&E/Results-Based Management (RBM) National Steering Committee.
