The event will provide a dialogue space between the audience and the member of the Guidance Group (GG) of the EVALSDGs about practical applications of AI in evaluation, highlighting efficiency gains, opportunities, professional requirements and ethical considerations, based on the GG experience. The conversation will be guided around published and upcoming EVALSDGs Insights developed by the GG.

Nome Título Biography
Katinka Koke Senior Specialist, UNITAR Katinka Koke is a senior specialist working in the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) within the Planning, Performance Monitoring, and Evaluation Unit since February 2016. She has managed and/or conducted numerous evaluations as part of UNITAR’s independent evaluation function. Prior to that, Katinka worked in the College of Europe Development Office, in the European Institutions, a German Embassy, and a Regional Government. Katinka Koke holds an MA in EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies from the College of Europe, a Bachelor of Laws in Comparative and European Law from the Hanse Law School and the University of Montpellier.
Rebeca Lara Independent evaluator Rebeca Lara is an economist and consultant specializing in planning, monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) for sustainable development. She has worked with NGOs, regional organizations, and the United Nations system, leading strategic evaluations and applying participatory, gender-responsive approaches to inform decision-making. Rebeca holds an Advanced Master’s in Globalisation and Development from the University of Antwerp and a Master's in economics and Territorial Development from the National Autonomous University of Nicaragua.
Laura Gagliardone Programme Coordinator (Knowledge and Programme Management) Consultant Laura Gagliardone is a senior development professional with over 16 years of experience across seven United Nations agencies. She currently serves as Programme Coordinator and Knowledge Management Consultant at UN Women Headquarters. Specializing in monitoring, evaluation, and learning, she provides strategic oversight of accountability frameworks and generates actionable insights to strengthen programme effectiveness and impact. She has a strong track record managing multi-stakeholder initiatives on real-time data, AI, gender, and humanitarian action. Laura holds an MA in Development and International Cooperation from the University of Bologna and a BA in Public Relations from IULM University, Milan.

Roxana Gómez-Valle Assistant M&E officer Roxana is currently an assistant monitoring and evaluation officer at the Planning, Performance Monitoring and Evaluation Unit at the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR). Before joining the UNITAR evaluation team, she worked as a research assistant for socioeconomic, gender and environmental research and performing impact evaluations and diagnostic studies in NGOs and research institutes.
