Artificial intelligence is reshaping the way evidence is generated, interpreted, and used in decision-making. While AI tools enable rapid access to large volumes of information and data analysis, they also raise important questions about credibility, bias, and trust in evidence.
This panel discussion will explore how AI is influencing evaluation practice globally and in contexts such as Pakistan. Panelists from evaluation practice, policy, and technology will examine the evolving nature of evidence, the risks associated with AI-generated insights, and the implications for decision-making.
The discussion will also reaffirm the continuing importance of rigorous evaluation in an AI-driven environment, emphasising the need for professional judgment, strong methodological standards, and ethical oversight.
Participants will engage in a live poll and interactive discussion on the future role of evaluators in an increasingly AI-augmented landscape.

Her work focuses on developing data-driven training frameworks and evidence-based strategies to support policy formulation, programme optimisation, and informed decision-making. She is recognised for designing inclusive and context-responsive interventions that strengthen systems, foster institutional growth, and promote sustainable professional development across diverse educational settings. |
| Mansoor Sultan | Director Information Technology- Beaconhouse Group | Mansoor Sultan is a technology executive with over 30 years of international experience in banking, real estate, education, and government. He has held CIO and senior technology leadership roles across Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and the United Kingdom, consistently delivering large-scale digital transformation with measurable commercial and operational impact. Currently serving as Director of Technology at Beaconhouse Group, he leads a 36-person IT function responsible for technology strategy, enterprise systems, cybersecurity, and infrastructure across schools, hotels, and central operations. He presents directly to the Board and Executive Committee and is currently driving the modernisation of the Group’s ERP, the adoption of AI tools, and a programme of data governance and cloud migration. Earlier in his career, Mansoor served as Group CIO at IMARAT, one of Pakistan’s largest real estate groups, and as Consultant CIO for the World Bank, where he led digital strategy initiatives at the Federal Board of Revenue including the Track and Trace and POS programmes. He also served as CIO (Consultant) at dBank, contributing to Pakistan’s first digital banking regulatory submission. His international career includes senior roles at HSBC in London, where he managed IT infrastructure for Commercial Banking and led business transformation for Global Trade and Receivables Finance, as well as positions at Saudi British Bank, NIB Bank (Temasek Group), Khushhalibank, and ABN Amro Bank. |
