Tech in TaRL is Pratham's initiative to integrate AI into its proven Teaching at the Right Level methodology, tackling foundational learning crisis in India and beyond. Built from the ground up through rigorous field evidence, the product features AI-based reading assessments, intelligent nudges, and a conversational bot. The product design has evolved iteratively across multiple boot camps run over the past one year. This bottom-up approach ensured the technology reflects real classroom realities rather than top-down assumptions. Learnings will reveal whether field-grounded AI can bridge the gap between brief training and quality teaching at scale.
