À propos de l'événement
The Eurasian region, despite the fact that the implementation of evaluation in the countries of the region is relatively new, still has interesting experiences and good practices, the discussion of which during the Glocal Week of Evaluation would make an important contribution to the development of evaluation.
The organizer of this event is the Euarsian Alliance of Evaluation, and the Chair of the Alliance in 2024 is the Tajikistan (Community of practice of evaluation in Tajikistan)
The special feature of the Eurasian Alliance is that it is the only association that brings together Russian-speaking representatives of the evaluation field. In this regard, the discussion of best practices and lessons learned in the Eurasian region during the Glocal Week of Evaluation in Russian will provide an expanded format for the Evaluation Week and allow for the involvement of even more stakeholders.

Résumé
The Global Evaluation Week - during which our community and the Eurasian Evaluation Alliance organised two major events - has come to an end:
5 June - Webinar on evaluation best practices in the Eurasian region, where participants were able to discuss the evaluation development experiences of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan, organised by the Eurasian Evaluation Alliance.
и
7 June - Roundtable on "Evaluation Development in Tajikistan with a Focus on Evaluation of the Medium-Term Development Programme of Tajikistan 2021-2025", organised in close cooperation with the Secretariat of the National Development Council under the President of Tajikistan/MERT, Parliament, UNICEF and the Tajikistan M&E Community of Practice (Evaluation for Sustainable Development).
There is no doubt that effective development is not possible without 'evaluation', and the globally announced local Evaluation Week provided an opportunity to focus on this:
What are the results?
- Experts shared best practices and, most importantly, lessons and challenges in evaluation;
- Discussed opportunities for cooperation in capacity building and evaluation development in Tajikistan/Eurasia region;
- Created an open platform for effective discussion among all stakeholders: MEDT, NDS, Parliament, development partners, academia and civil society;
- Learning lessons from the previous Medium Term Development Programme of Tajikistan (2016-2020) to be taken into account in the evaluation of the current SDP (2021-2025);
- Convinced of the need to build human capacity and improve the methodological framework for M&E in the country and the region.
- Resolved to disseminate information on existing evaluation development opportunities in order to strengthen evaluation capacity in general;
