The roundtable presents insights from PDG’s research and experience on AI integration in evaluation consulting. The session explores entry points for integrating AI into evaluation workflows while maintaining human oversight, drawing on four evaluations with varying AI use, a case study of GPT-3 chatbot, and expertise in creating AI-assisted tools. The roundtable will present findings, outline areas for further exploration, and invite participants to share experiences on assessing AI readiness and responsibly integrating AI into evaluation practice.

| Thari Moroke | Intern | Thari is passionate about bridging the gap between well-written policies and their practical implementation, especially for underserved communities. Through her studies and past work experience she has developed knowledge of the South African public sector and policy environment, with a focus on industrial policy, investment facilitation, inclusive growth, and structural transformation. She has experience in qualitative data collection as well as the analysis of literature, policies, and other secondary data and documents. Through her participation in voluntary and leadership development initiatives, she has further honed her skills in project design, management and implementation. |
| Lelethu Bodlani | Consultant | Lelethu is a consultant at PDG with a Master of Commerce in Economics from the University of the Western Cape. She has a strong interest in public sector development, municipal governance, financial modelling, and analysis for supporting municipal services and green finance. With previous experience as a research assistant at Cenfri, her skills include quantitative and qualitative research, financial modelling, market research, and providing technical support. Lelethu’s current project work at PDG involves various aspects of public finance and M&E, such as drafting reports, analysing papers, researching sanitation delivery models, updating country profiles, and participating in design and implementation evaluations. She is dedicated to making a positive impact in the public sector. |

Currently he is working on an open-source web-based monitoring & evaluation system called Monic. He also maintains a training management & reporting system, TrainTrack, that can integrate nicely with Thinkific, one of the world's leading eLearning platforms. He has 15+ years of IT consulting & software development in the public sector, predominantly for national, provincial & departmental clients. |

| Jerusha Govender | Director | Jerusha is a catalyst in data-driven creative solutions for sustainable change.
