How YEEs Are Using AI in the Evaluation Cycle

Sobre el evento

Early in our careers as young and/or emerging evaluators, there is a feeling of figuring things out as we go, learning in real time, often without a clear script. Uncertainty is an inevitable part of our evaluation work with data informing our decisions and providing us with confidence. But, what feels different now is the presence of AI that has been shaping how we think and interpret the evaluation cycle, data, and our skillsets. In this session, evaluators will share honest reflections from their own practice, from design to data analysis, exploring where AI could support us and how our work could be evolving. In this interactive session, we will sit with its complexities: the ethical concerns and the growing demand to adapt with the integration of AI in evaluation practices. This conversation is a space to learn and reflect on using AI within the evaluation cycle, exploring its strengths, concerns, and limitations.
This session aims to leave participants with key points of reflection on how AI may impact their work/skillset and potentially lead to a slightly different approach to our evolving practice.

Session Format: The session is designed as a case session, with practical example(s) of how AI tools were used in the evaluation cycle. Insights from those who use AI will be shared, with open floors for interactive discussions.
