Key takeaways and the way forward derived from this discussion emphasize the importance of continued engagement with academia, similar to the approach taken during the RAPID evaluation.
Universities should actively participate in larger evaluation studies to enrich student learning and promote M&E as a discipline and career. Embedding M&E in curricula will develop professionals skilled in relevant methodologies. The importance of developing a national evaluation policy framework was also highlighted during the discussion.
Encouraging universities to join evaluation projects through competitive bidding will enhance capacity, ensure diverse perspectives, & robust methodologies, creating a sustainable M&E ecosystem for informed policymaking.
