Join us for an insightful webinar exploring the role of AI in Mongolia’s expanding evaluation field. The main presenter will discuss the ethical and sustainable use of AI while also demonstrating custom-built AI tools and sharing practical guidance on how these tools can be applied and shared within the evaluation community. The session will conclude with a panel discussion examining the practical opportunities and challenges of integrating AI into the evaluation profession.

She worked past 5 years at UN FAO. She focuses on evidence-based analysis, using M&E and AI to improve decision-making, simplify workflows, and support effective, sustainable systems. |
| Uyangaa Munkhbat | Board Member, Mongolian Evaluation Association | Uyangaa is an MEA Board Member and co-leader of EvalYouth Mongolia. With an MA from the University of Antwerp and 6+ years of global professional experience, she is currently contributing to Mongolia’s first food security policy evaluation. |

Summary
The session explored the practical applications of AI tools, particularly ChatGPT, in evaluation. Khongorzul discussed the environmental implications of AI use and demonstrated how ChatGPT can enhance evaluation capacity-building efforts, including the development of training materials and support for qualitative data analysis. Uyangaa, serving as discussant, stressed the importance of strengthening foundational evaluation knowledge and practice in emerging evaluation contexts such as Mongolia prior to the widespread adoption of AI. She also highlighted the need for critical awareness of potential biases and ethical considerations associated with AI-generated outputs.
